Writing Shader Code in Universal RP (v2) (Cyanilux)
Cyanilux
Visit resource ↗Description
Writing Shader Code in Universal RP (v2) is Cyanilux's ShaderLab and HLSL guide for Unity URP (2021, updated 2022). One ad-free page replaces an older WordPress article for developers who prefer code over Shader Graph.
It explains why Built-in tutorials fail in URP, SRP Batcher checks, and rebuilding Surface Shaders. Topics include Properties, SubShaders, RenderPipeline tags, Pass LightModes, HLSLPROGRAM blocks, and UnityPerMaterial CBUFFER batching.
For advanced Unity programmers with HLSL or Built-in shader experience. Beginners should read Intro to Shaders first; others can jump to Built-in versus URP summaries and templates.
Single-page reference with code samples and URP version notes; free on cyanilux.com.
Helps port custom materials and mirror URP/Lit passes. Widely linked in Unity shader circles with official SRP docs.
