Description

Anthelmed’s Unity-URP-Blurred-Buffer-Outlines is an MIT-licensed GitHub sample that adds soft URP object outlines through a Scriptable Renderer Feature for Unity 2022.2 and newer, installed via Git URL with C# passes and Shader Graph assets.

Vertex color on meshes drives a mask pass, then blurred buffers widen silhouettes instead of depth or normal edge detection. README notes inverted appearance when vertex colors are missing because Unity treats unset channels as white.

Add the feature to Universal Renderer Data, filter by layer mask, and tune opacity, downsample, and blur iterations. MaskShaderGraph and BlurShaderGraph show the blur stack for study.

For invisible outlines, change camera anti-aliasing or Stop NaNs. Modest GitHub interest; useful for intermediate URP developers comparing buffer-blur outlines to screen-space edge shaders.
