Description

ShaderToy is the WebGL live-coding site co-created by Inigo Quilez and Pol Jeremias, extending Quilez's 2009 shader repository. shadertoy.com provides a GLSL editor, instant compile feedback, and a public gallery to fork and remix shaders.

Buffers, cubemap inputs, audio textures, and uniforms such as time and resolution support multipass raymarching, fractals, and demoscene-style effects without engine assets. Profiles, comments, and favorites add community features atop open code sharing.

Students, technical artists, and professionals use it to prototype math-heavy visuals in any WebGL-capable browser with free accounts.

SIGGRAPH and GTC talks have featured ShaderToy, and the creators received the ACM SIGGRAPH Practitioner Award for the platform.

Widely regarded in the graphics programming community as the iconic public shader playground for learning GLSL outside a game engine.
