Intro to Shader Graph (Cyanilux)
Cyanilux
Visit resource ↗Description
Intro to Shader Graph (March 2021, updated March 2025) is Cyanilux's guide to Unity's node-based Shader Graph editor for URP, HDRP, and newer Built-in RP projects. It teaches the tool and editor workflow, not a single effect recipe.
Sections cover package install and pipeline setup, graph templates, the Graph Inspector and Master Stack, nodes and previews, data types, Blackboard properties and keywords, Sub Graphs, and peeking at generated HLSL.
Beginners should prefer URP over HDRP; Built-in RP support starts at Unity 2021.2+. Cyanilux points readers to Intro to the Shader Pipeline when shader stages are unfamiliar.
It is a single long reference with a section index and annotated screenshots, readable by heading or in order. No paywall or account is required.
Cyanilux tutorials are widely linked in Unity shader circles alongside official Shader Graph docs.
