Visit resource ↗Description
UnityCsReference is Unity Technologies GitHub mirror of Editor and engine C# source under the Unity Reference Only License. It exposes managed implementations you script against, not native C++ or licensable full engine source.
Folders mirror Unity internal layout: Editor, Runtime, Modules, External, and Projects, with UnityReferenceSource.sln for IDE browsing. Coverage spans scripting, serialization, transforms, jobs, input, profiling, and editor services, plus third-party notices.
Intermediate and advanced Unity programmers use it to debug opaque APIs, editor extensions, and render pipeline or SceneView callbacks when documentation stays high level.
Browse on GitHub and match a branch or tag to your Editor; paths change each release and the README states the snapshot version.
Community guides cite it as the standard read-only view of Unity official C# engine code.
