Description

Hologram Shader Breakdown is a May 2019 Cyanilux article that builds a Shader Graph hologram with world-space scanlines, Fresnel rim, HDR additive tint, and optional quad distortion or glitch.

The Breakdown wires Position world Y into Sine and Fraction scanlines with Time scroll, combines waves, adds Fresnel Effect, then multiplies a mask sample by an HDR Color on an Unlit Transparent Additive stack. Distortion and Glitching offset UVs with noise, timed Floor offsets, Step masking, and optional chromatic splits.

Intermediate Unity readers should know Shader Graph; Notes cover meshes versus quads and bloom cost.

Useful for sci-fi holograms; Cyanilux breakdowns are widely linked in Unity shader communities.
