Description

Qaws is a dependency-free C11 library by soufianekhiat for creating, evaluating, sampling, traversing, and inspecting parametric curves and surfaces in 2D and 3D.

It covers thirteen curve families including Bezier, Hermite, Catmull-Rom, B-spline, NURBS, arcs, and clothoids, plus Bezier, B-spline, NURBS, swept, and ruled surfaces. Shared APIs support derivatives, curvature-weighted sampling, arc-length traversal, geometry queries, and conversions. Core math compiles to C, HLSL, GLSL, and Halide from one source, with optional SIMD batch evaluation.

It is for intermediate graphics and shader developers who need robust curve and surface math on CPU or GPU without large CAD dependencies.

The repo is free to clone, builds with CMake or Sharpmake, ships tests and shader examples, and documents backends under docs.

It is useful when you want one API for paths and patches that can also run inside compute shaders.
