Description

Matrix Calculator at matrixcalc.org is a free browser-based linear algebra tool for symbolic and numeric matrix work. It supports determinants, inverses, transposes, ranks, matrix multiplication, row echelon form, LU and Cholesky decomposition, and raising matrices to powers.

Expressions accept decimal fractions, periodic decimals, and mathematical syntax including variables, trigonometric functions, and nested matrix literals. Non-square matrices are supported by leaving extra cells empty. Results can be dragged back into the editor or copied for documentation.

The calculator is useful when verifying view/projection matrices, transform compositions, or shader math without writing a temporary test harness. It complements general computer algebra systems with a matrix-focused UI and keyboard navigation between cells.

Access is free with no account required. The tool is community-maintained rather than tied to a specific engine or API, and works on desktop and mobile browsers.

Commonly suggested in graphics forums when developers need quick confirmation of matrix products, inverses, or symbolic simplifications during debugging.
